Special Populations/Non-Traditional Programs
Coastal Pines Technical College provides support services such as customized workshops, seminars and support groups for students who are in special population categories including:
- Single parents (one who is legally unmarried or legally separated from a spouse, who has full or partial custody of at least one minor child and who is in need of employment or career training)
- Displaced homemakers (a parent who has been performing unpaid labor in the home, who has difficulty in securing employment and who has been dependent upon the income of another but can no longer depend on that income)
- Economically disadvantaged
- Non-traditional (students enrolled in programs non-traditional for their gender)
- ESL students (students whose first language is not English)
